Hundreds of people gathered to pay their respects to the dead of the two world wars and other conflicts at the annual Remembrance  Sunday ceremony at the foot of Aberystwyth’s iconic war memorial on the headland jutting out into the sea.<br />
<br />
Both red and white poppy wreaths were  laid during the ceremony,  by the representatives of the British Legion,  the town council and the local  Peace and Justice Network. <br />
<br />
After the ceremony all the wreathes were gathered upon for safe keeping ahead of gale force winds which  are forecast to hit the west coast later today and tomorrow<br />
