UK weather : A massively strong wind, estimated to be over 94 mph, tore through the town of Aberystwyth on the morning of Nov 17, bringing extensive damage in its wake.
Slates were blown off roofs, windows sucked out, and chimney stacks destroyed, Large parts of the town , including the main promenade, have been closed to traffic because of the risk of further falls.
Two of the town football club's huge floodlights have been blown over, and firemen are busy removing dangerous loose slate roof tiles from seafront properties
